Role Overview:

As a Penetration Tester Job at Infopercept, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in clients' systems. You will conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on various platforms including web applications, mobile applications, IT infrastructure, and network devices. In addition to performing manual testing and using various security tools, you will collaborate with other teams to implement corrective and preventive measures based on your findings. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with security tools, and a deep understanding of security protocols and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing Hiring In Mumbai:

   • Conduct internal vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on various types of applications (Client/Web/Mobile) and IT infrastructure.

   • Perform network penetration testing to assess the security of network devices and infrastructure.

   • Identify vulnerabilities in client applications and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.

2. Cybersecurity Incident Response:

   • Investigate and respond to security incidents, identifying the root cause and implementing corrective actions.

   • Work closely with the incident response team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of security breaches.

   • Develop and execute preventive action plans to mitigate future risks.

3. Risk Assessment & Vendor Security:

   • Assess the security posture of third-party vendors and provide risk analysis reports.

   • Participate in vendor security assessments to ensure external partnerships meet the necessary cybersecurity standards.

4. Hands-on Security Tools:

   • Use industry-standard tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Netsparker, Metasploit, and Kali Linux to identify vulnerabilities and exploits.

   • Modify and compile exploit code to simulate real-world attack scenarios, aiding in the discovery of potential weaknesses.

   • Ensure thorough testing of various systems, including web applications, operating systems, databases, and network infrastructure.

5. Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Learning:

   • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of penetration testing and cybersecurity.

   • Share knowledge and provide insights to the team, helping foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

   • Collaborate with other cybersecurity experts to improve internal security practices and methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in the field of Information Security/Cybersecurity hiring, specifically in performing Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) on web, mobile, client applications, and IT infrastructure. Experience with OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) and network penetration testing is also required.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency with security tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Netsparker, and Kali Linux.

  • Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities such as those listed in the OWASP Top 10.

  • Hands-on experience with manual testing and exploitation of web applications.

  • Solid understanding of networking and IT security fundamentals, including protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Knowledge of various OS security standards and frameworks such as CIS Security Benchmarks, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and MITRE ATT&CK.

• Programming and Scripting Skills: Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language is a plus (Python, Bash, etc.), as it will aid in writing custom scripts for testing or automation purposes.

• Incident Response & Root Cause Analysis: Ability to investigate security incidents, analyze the root cause, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

  • OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

  • CompTIA Security+
